From Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s first date spot to King Charles‘ favourite neighbourhood gem in Southall, the royal family certainly know how to wine and dine – with new research from Neue Online Casinos revealing which hotspot has proven to be the most popular.

Measuring popularity by a unique index score – generated by the number of hashtags each location has racked up on Instagram, as well as Google and Tripadvisor reviews, with the lower the overall index score the higher the ranking – Princess Diana’s favourite hangout, Launceston Place, came out on top with an overall index of 7. Known for its classic British dishes, the Kensington restaurant was a regular spot for the royal thanks to its west London location, intimate dining areas, and her appropriately named dessert, Soufflé Diana.

Kate Middleton favourite Bluebird Chelsea and Princess Beatrice hotspot Chiltern Firehouse placed joint second, as they received an index score of 11. Meanwhile, Prince William, Meghan Markle and Queen Camilla’s top rated restaurants followed closely behind in third. Swanky Mayfair establishment The Arts Club, where Prince Philip was often spotted socialising, took the fourth spot. Family-run curry house Brilliant in Southall completed the top five, after being given the royal seal of approval from King Charles.
